TVXQ Wins 4 MKMF Awards
The boy band TVXQ won four awards at the 2006 Mnet KM Music Festival, which was hosted by Shin Dong-yeop and Kim Ok-bin.
SG Wannabe won three awards and Shinwha two.
TVXQ won in the categories "Best Artist of the Year," "Best Group," "Mnet.com" and "Mnet Plus Mobile People's Choice Award." SG Wannabe was honored in the categories "Digital People's Choice," "Best Album of the Year" and "Best Song of the Year." Shinwha won the "Yep Netizens' Choice" and the "Overseas Audiences' Choice" awards.
Some six thousand people attended the festival. Performers included TVXQ, SS501, Superjunior, Baek Ji-young, Um Jung-hwa, Kim Tae-woo, Kim Jo-han and pianist Jin Bo-ra. The artists staged various performances, including a performance that paid tribute to the late singer Yoo Jae-ha.
The award ceremony was broadcast live by Mnet, KMTV and Mnet Japan for four hours.

TVXQ!-Super Junior calendar sale
Popular groups TVXQ! and Super Junior come out with the "2007 Special Calendar".
On December 1, TVXQ! releases 3 calendar types - wall calendar, desktop calendar and pocket calendar with different concepts. Super Junior releases two versions of the wall calendar.
TVXQ!'s desktop calendar has the members' greeting written on it and is enclosed in a binder case. The pocket calendar has 13 photgraphs and is a limited edition version.
The A type of Super Junior's "2007 Special Calendar" shows funny poses while the type B shows the dynamic forms of the members.
Fashion photographer Lee Sang Yup took charge of the calendar pictures wherein fans can see TVXQ! and Super Junior's charm.
TVXQ! and Super Junior's "2007 Special Calendar" can be purchased in online album sites and album stores in Korea.

Actor Choi Si-won Set to Become Next-Generation Korean Star
Young Korean actor Choi Si-won has shown his potential to become the next-generation Korean star to lead the Korean Wave, or Korean pop culture craze, in Asia. The actor was welcomed by his fans everywhere he went in China to promote his debut film “Battle of Wits,” which was jointly produced by Korea, China and Japan.The promotion was held in four Chinese cities--Beijing on Nov. 16, Shanghai on Nov. 17, Shenzen on Nov. 18 and Hong Kong on Nov. 19 and 20--with director Chi Leung ‘Jacob’ Cheung and other stars who starred in the movie, including Ahn Sung-kee and Andy Lau, attending.The Chinese press also showed great interest in the new Korean star. The Beijing Daily News reported in its Nov. 17 edition that when Choi appeared at the preview, a crowd of fans cheered and shouted in joy. Hong Kong’s Mingpao News on Nov. 20 cited Lau, who praised Choi for his good personality. A source from Huayi Brothers, the Chinese film company which held the promotion, said that Choi is enjoying such great popularity in China. “A large number of his enthusiastic fans attended every event we held,” he said. “Battle of Wits” was first released in China and Hong Kong on Thursday and is scheduled to be released in Korea early next year.

Super Junior - K.R.Y. Formed
Three members of the 13-man group Super Junior--Kyu-hyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung--will perform as a separate trio under the name of Super Junior - K.R.Y. The trio sang the R&B ballad “Only for You” included in the original soundtrack of the TV drama “Hyena,” which is a male Korean version of the U.S. hit drama “Sex and the City.” Aired on the entertainment cable channel tvN, the drama stars Kim Min-jong, Yoon Da-hoon, Oh Man-seok and So Yi-hyun. Besides “Only for You,” the drama’s main love theme, Super Junior - K.R.Y sang the title song “The Night Chicago Died” and the swing jazz song “Smile.” SM Entertainment, the group’s agency, said that the trio is part of its strategy to not limit the group’s activities to always performing altogether. “It will please fans waiting to see the group perform either through each member’s individual activities or its new album,” it added. Super Junior - K.R.Y will officially start performing from Nov. 5 on the KBS music program “Music Bank.”

Pan-Asian star BoA will appear on the CNN talk show “Talk Asia.” In an interview with the show’s host Anjali Rao on October 24 in Tokyo, Japan, BoA talked about her career as a singer, her activities in Japan, the influence of the Korean Wave, her thoughts about acting and future plans.”Talk Asia” is a signature program of the U.S. broadcaster CNN. It features newsmakers from all over the world and airs weekly. CNN decided to introduce BoA in recognition of her popularity in the entire Asian region. Other South Koreans who have appeared on the show include former President Kim Dae-jung, orchestra conductor Chung Myung-hoon, soprano Cho Su-mi and singer Rain.The ”Talk Asia” edition featuring BoA will air December 2 at 8:30 a.m. and at midnight, and December 3 at 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. (Korean time). The show will be broadcast via CNN International to more than 200 regions of the world.BoA will release her fifth full-length album in Japan January 17.

Truth Behind Junsu's 'Cold' (Why Junsu absent on MKMF at first half)
On Saturday (day of MKMF) Junsu was a lot more sick than what was said.
his blood pressure was down to 70.
the hospital told him to stay off stage...
even his mom told him to not perform that day...
and junsu said "Mom, I can't... My fans will be there and I don't want to disappoint them. And we endured a lot this year so I want to be there when the award is presented... I want to accept the award"
and because of his low blood pressure they warned him that going on stage might be excessive for his heart.... and the shot that he got was not just a shot for his 'cold' but it was actually some kind of really strong pain-killer (if more than three shots are taken, the body will not be able to handle it)

TVXQ Invited to Asia Pacific Film Festival
The five-man group TVXQ has been invited to the Asia Pacific Film Festival, which kicked off its five-day run in Taiwan on Tuesday. The group, as a special guest, will present the best original soundtrack award and give a performance to celebrate the festival on Friday. Established to promote exchange and cooperation between those working in the film industry in Asia, the annual event draws leading directors and stars from all over Asia every year. The Korean group will perform the title song of its third album, “‘O’-Thesis-Antithesis-Synthesis,” for the first time in Taiwan, where the album is topping the music charts just a week after its release there.
