Airplane To Be Painted With Rain's Image

An airplane will be featuring an image of the singer Rain.

Korean Air will operate airplanes with Rain's image during his world tour "Rain's Coming 06/07 Rain World Tour" which starts on the 23rd with the Las Vegas performance continuing on until the end of next May.

Korean Air personnel commented on the 19th, "We will be operating an airplane to promote Rain's world tour. Korean Air will also be supporting by offering not only complimentary tickets, but also support the tour by transporting performance equipment, as well as marketing through local business networks."

Rain's world tour will consist of 35 performances to be held throughout 11 countries and 17 cities including the U.S., Hong Kong, Singapore, and China amongst others and will last for over 6 months.

Rain's world tour is expected to be the largest in scale for any Korean artist and the total number of audiences is estimated to be around 700,000 to 800,000.

Partial funds earned form the world tour will be donated to charity groups including World Vision and those that support children with AIDS in third-world Asian countries.

Cho Yang Ho, president of Korean Air, commented, "Our support offered holds meaning in that we are supporting the launch of Korean culture internationally, and not simply just an artist. We will fully support the Rain world tour in hopes of successfully exporting our cultural product."

Korean Air also formerly supported Rain's Beijing and Thailand promotions in 2004 and has actively supported Rain's international promotions.

Also, Korean Air has been serving its role in assisting cultural export by offering support to various Hallyu stars such as Bae Yong Joon and baseball player Lee Seung Yeop.
